Project Administrator (SOL005)

This role is a permanent full time role and reports to the Manager Project Administration in the Solutions team.
 
The purpose of the role is to assist the Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, to carry out project administration tasks and work collaboratively with other team members.  Responsibilities include:
 
Administration and processes:

  • maintaining records and compiling regular reports in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • preparing and amending complex documents
  • assisting with the collection and collation of information for the submission of business reports
  • organising, preparing for and attending committee meetings
  • ensuring that Standards New Zealand processes are carried out in a timely manner

 
Relationship Development:

  • liaising with stakeholders, committee members and Standards Australia Project Managers
  • building and maintaining positive and cooperative relationships within Standards New Zealand and with outside organisations
  • continually striving to improve processes
  • actively participating in providing a high quality of service to customers and staff and enhance the public perception of Standards New Zealand

 
The person we are looking for will have:

  • administrative experience
  • organisational and planning skills
  • accuracy and attention to detail
  • experience in using MS Word, Excel and other interactive software packages including Power Point and database programmes.  Exposure to MS project is preferable.
  • a professional manner and presentation
  • an ability to relate well to work colleagues, committee members and customers
  • a tertiary qualification (preferred)

Senior Solutions Manager (SOL001)

This role reports to the General Manager Solutions.

The Senior Manager Solutions provides key support for the delivery of solutions and the retention of recurring contracts with clients.  This role gives important leadership to a project management team focussed on delivery solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project management of Standards solutions;
  • Coordination, leadership and motivation of a team of Project Managers; and
  • Securing contracts with clients which have annual programmes with Standards New Zealand.

We are open to applications from people who have project management and client relationship experience but may not have had any previous team leadership experience.  We are willing to look at people who have potential to step up to this level.

The person we are looking for will have the following:

Preferred but not essential:

  • people management experience
  • a sound working knowledge of the electrical and gas safety industry in New Zealand including understanding issues both within a regulatory and 'standardisation framework'
  • a relevant tertiary qualification

Essential:

  • at least 5 years project management experience
  • qualified as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent (we will consider people who do not have these qualifications but have relevant work experience)
  • relevant experience in business development, delivery to clients, and management
  • excellent judgement and business acumen
  • demonstrable success in a performance-based revenue or margin-related account management/business development role at various levels within an organisation
  • demonstrable ability to work consistently in a cross-functional working style, modifying preferred working style as required
  • ability to delivery the Standards New Zealand value proposition per qualified opportunity in a professional manner
  • credible and comfortable in working with executives.

Business Analyst (CSS002)

This role is a fixed term contract for a period of 6 months and reports to the General Manager Customer Services and Sales.  Note - we are open to people who are looking for either full time or part time hours and the term may be extended.

This role may appeal to someone who is currently studying, has had previous relevant work experience, and wants a job that will fit around study requirements.   
 
We are looking for a talented person who demonstrates initiative and drive, with specialist skills in the following areas:
 
Data extraction and analysis for publications marketing, and sales:

  • extraction and analysis of product and service sales, and customer, industry sector, and campaign data including review of current reports, refinement, and development of new reports
  • analysis of product sales performance (historic analysis of product sales and trends, new and revised publications' sales, campaign analysis) on individual and defined group of products
  • initial review and continuing development of a pre and post marketing campaign analysis framework to enhance product management quality and marketing capability
  • modelling to assist identification and marketing of new market segments and new offers for targeting.

Customer, market, segment, and sector analysis:

  • top customer, market, and segment sales and trend analysis, monitoring and reporting
  • statistical and scenario modelling development for Standards New Zealand's publications and service price structures, sales planning/budgeting for business planning and reporting purposes, and analysis of competitor and partnered arrangements

Customer service, telemarketing performance and productivity reporting:

  • reviewing and analysing current activity and tools and developing improvements to determine customer service performance and productivity.
  • developing modelling techniques to assist the Customer Service Team Leader plan and manage call loads more effectively.

The person we are looking for will have:

  • a relevant tertiary qualification
  • search, analysis, and evaluation skills
  • a minimum of three years business analysis experience
  • a minimum of two years experience in technology or data analysis/extraction and modelling roles
  • advanced excel skills including the use of pivot tables
  • a knowledge of Crystal reports and reporting writing
  • knowledge of SQL server data base and computer information systems
  • a proven record of working with query writer and systems, knowledge of writing queries from reporting systems
  • proven experience working with report and modelling software
  • a proven record of translating technical information into 'plain English to the wider team
  • be familiar with marketing and sales datamining and analytical tools and their practical application (ideal).
