A 'watermark' appears in the background of each page of all electronic Standards as a reminder that the content is the copyright of Standards New Zealand. Blue text on the inside margin of each page provides a short summary of the licence conditions.
Previously all electronic Standards (PDF’s) were password protected. Our customers found it a nuisance to enter a password each time they wanted to use the PDF and some could not remember the password anyway. This is the reason why we now use the ‘watermark’ as a means of protecting copyright for all New Zealand Standards
